About Dr. Ezekiel Akande

A medical executive and pain management specialist, Dr. Ezekiel Akande serves as the chief executive officer of Somerset Regional Pain Center in Somerset, Kentucky. As the medical director of the practice’s pain management services, he has built one of the most complete multimodal pain treatment centers in eastern Kentucky. In his medical practice, Dr. Ezekiel Akande stresses the importance of understanding the difficulties faced by patients with chronic pain. He works with his patients to reduce pain and ultimately help them regain their quality of life.

Dr. Ezekiel Akande holds an MD from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine in Nigeria. He completed residency in internal medicine, anesthesiology, and fellowship in interventional pain medicine.

An active member of the field, Dr. Akande is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Outside of work, he supports the efforts of SCOAN Nigeria and Amnesty International.
